Lakeview hadn't done well against Modoc recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Lakeview Honkers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Modoc Braves, sneaking past 66-64. The Honkers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Modoc lost, don't look at Chris Guasp. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 14 on his way to 24 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Guasp a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Jeffers, who posted 11 points and five assists.

The win made it two in a row for Lakeview and bumps their season record up to 3-2. As for Modoc, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Lakeview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-58 defeat against Bonanza on the 18th. As for Modoc, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-49 loss against Portola on the 19th.
