The McIntosh Chiefs will challenge The Shiloh Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Shiloh is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, McIntosh came up short against Northside and fell 13-8.
McIntosh saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Ambrose, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances while posting 1 RBI, 1 run, and 2 walks. The game marked Ambrose's sixth in a row with at least one RBI.
Even though they lost, McIntosh prevented the big hits and finished the game with no home runs against. They have not posted that many home runs against since the 18th, when they also allowed zero.
Shiloh never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Alcovy on Thursday. The Generals blew past the Tigers 20-3.
Amora Roberson was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run over four innings pitched. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances while posting 2 stolen bases, 2 RBI, and 2 runs.
In other pitching news, Roberson also looked comfortable as she got on base in two of her four plate appearances while logging 2 stolen bases, 2 RBI, and 2 runs.
Back at the plate, Lianie Jarquin was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances while logging 3 stolen bases, 3 runs, and 1 RBI. Raylin Donald was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances while logging 3 RBI, 2 runs, and 1 triple.
McIntosh is now 5-2, having gone 1-2 since their 4-game winning streak ended. As for Shiloh, they have now won four of their last five games on the road. That run has powered them to a 2-3 record this season.
