The Nazareth Area Blue Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the William Allen Canaries at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. William Allen took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Nazareth Area, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, it was close, but Nazareth Area sidestepped Bethlehem Catholic for a 51-49 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Nazareth Area.
Meanwhile, William Allen's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Pocono Mountain East 56-52. While losing is never fun, William Allen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while Pocono Mountain East is ranked 67th).
The win got Nazareth Area back to even at 2-2. As for William Allen, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-4.
Nazareth Area suffered a grim 69-46 defeat to William Allen in their previous matchup back in January of 2020. Can Nazareth Area avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
