The Bishop Fenwick Crusaders will head out to  take on the Bishop Stang Spartans  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The last three games Bishop Fenwick has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
While Bishop Fenwick's  victory against Cardinal Spellman wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crusaders never let the Cardinals get on the board and left with  a   1-0  win  on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Crusaders have posted  against the Cardinals since April 24, 2018.
Meanwhile, Bishop Stang was not the first on the board  on Monday, but they got there more often. They blew past Archbishop Williams 10-3. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven  runs or more this season.
Bishop Stang got a great performance from  Landon Cardoza as he  tossed five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits. Cardoza has been consistent : he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Bishop Stang let  Drew Taylor and  Amir Cartagena run wild. Taylor  went 1-for-4 with three  RBI and one  double, while  Cartagena  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-2. That  double marked the first that  Taylor  hit this season.  Nolan Donaldson was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI.
 Bishop Stang's record is now 8-1. As for Bishop Fenwick, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-3.
 Bishop Fenwick might still be hurting after the  10-0 defeat they got from Bishop Stang  when the teams last played  back in May of 2024. Can the Crusaders avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
