The Talawanda Brave are on the road again on Saturday and plays the Goshen Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on February 10th. Talawanda will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 421st, while Goshen is ranked 115th).
Last Saturday, Talawanda took a serious blow against Fairmont, falling 56-13. Talawanda was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
Meanwhile, Goshen put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Monday. They put the hurt on Wilmington with a sharp 66-43 win. The victory was familiar territory for Goshen who now have four in a row.
Talawanda has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Goshen, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Talawanda lost to Goshen on the road by a decisive 49-32 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2019. Can Talawanda avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
