It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the McLean Tigers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Kelton out 30-28. The win was just what McLean needed coming off of a 69-23 defeat in their prior match.
Leading McLean to victory were Jayvon Salazar and Caleb Steward. Salazar scored four points along with 12 rebounds and three steals, while Steward scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Salazar hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for ten straight games.
McLean's victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Kelton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
McLean will head out on the road to take on Follett at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Follett will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something McLean surely won't give up without a fight. Kelton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
