After three games on the road, Bordentown is heading back home. They will take on the Florence Township Memorial Flashes at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Bordentown pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-59 to Burlington Township. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bordentown in their matchups with Burlington Township: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Florence Township Memorial's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 41-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rancocas Valley. While losing is never fun, Florence Township Memorial can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 327th, while Rancocas Valley is ranked 89th).
Bordentown's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Florence Township Memorial, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Bordentown against Florence Township Memorial in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 60-23 victory.
