Video: Top 10 Games of the Week
MaxPreps previews some of the top matchups in the nation this weekend.
Buford (Ga.) at McEachern (Powder Springs, Ga.)Why it's big: Buford has won 45 games in a row and is only two victories shy of tying its own state record. Although the Wolves graduated 13 players who signed with FBS colleges off last year's team – and lost a five-star recruit who transferred to IMG Academy – they're off to a 2-0 start that includes a win against Maryland power Eastern Christian Academy and a 77-0 drubbing of Berkmar (Lilburn) last week.
No. 20 McEachern had a bye following its 50-14 blowout of Tucker in the season opener two weeks ago. Senior running back
Sam Jackson – a Georgia Southern commit – was explosive for the Indians, rushing for 161 yards and three touchdowns on just nine carries.
Names to watch: Senior three-star athlete
Martin Mangram and talented sophomore running back
Anthony Grant have been Buford's leading rushers so far this season. Mangram has clocked a 40-yard time under 4.4 seconds. Grant saw his first varsity carries as a freshman last season.
McEachern's defensive line features Georgia commit
Julian Rochester, the No. 4 senior prospect in the state according to 247Sports.
Tremayne Anchrum, a three-star offensive guard, anchors the line on the other side of the ball.
