On Friday, The Brother Rice Crusaders faced the St. Rita Mustangs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Brother Rice blew past St. Rita 42-21. The result was nothing new for Brother Rice, who have now won three matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Despite the loss, St. Rita still got an impressive performance from Jimmie Maxson iii, who picked up 174 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Maxson iii was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 61 yards.
Brother Rice now has a winning record of 5-4. As for St. Rita, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 5-4.
