Delaware Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Walton Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Delaware Academy will be strutting in after a victory while the Warriors will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Monday, Delaware Academy didn't have too much trouble with the at home as they won 61-43. Given Delaware Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the are ranked 598th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Walton took a serious blow against the Spartans on Thursday, falling 45-18. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Walton has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Walton saw an underclassman step up: Grace Walley scored five points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Walley hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games.
Delaware Academy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Walton, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
Everything came up roses for Delaware Academy against the Warriors when the teams last played on Saturday as the squad secured a 64-30 victory. With Delaware Academy ahead 41-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
