Haywood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacari Comage, who scored 25 points along with six assists and three steals. Comage continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaybyon Snipe, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Jackson North Side's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Haywood, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson North Side will take on Chester County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chester County will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Haywood won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Covington at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th. Covington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while Haywood is ranked 86th).
