Softball Recap: South Bend Riley Extends Winning Streak to Four

South Bend Riley barely beat South Bend Adams the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Thursday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by ten runs or more this season.

South Bend Riley got a massive performance out of RACHEL HUNT, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. HUNT is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was VICTORYA HARMON, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

South Bend Riley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win was the fourth in a row for South Bend Riley, bringing their record up to 12-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for South Bend Adams, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11.

Looking ahead, South Bend Riley will face off against Brandywine at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Bend Adams, they will venture away from home to face off against Elkhart at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
