The Good Samaritan HomeSchool Hornets will head out to square off against the Christian Home Educators Fellowship Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Good Samaritan HomeSchool is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Good Samaritan HomeSchool and Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, and Good Samaritan HomeSchool kept the tradition alive. The Hornets walked away with a 9-5 win over Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool on Monday.

The team relied heavily on Lane Bounds, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Dawson Turpin was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Christian Home Educators Fellowship came out on top against Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool two weeks ago thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Patriots put the hurt on Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool with a sharp 8-1 victory. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Aaron Taylor was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Christian Home Educators Fellowship is undefeated when Taylor posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Champlin, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Christian Home Educators Fellowship is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Good Samaritan HomeSchool, their record now sits at 10-4.
Both Good Samaritan HomeSchool and Christian Home Educators Fellowship just can't seem to miss. The Hornets have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Christian Home Educators Fellowship struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Good Samaritan HomeSchool skirted past Christian Home Educators Fellowship 6-5 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
