On Thursday, the Noblesville Millers faced the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Noblesville managed a 57-51 win over Fort Wayne Snider. The win made it back-to-back wins for Noblesville.
Noblesville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reagan Wilson led the charge by scoring 30 points along with three steals. Those 30 points set a new season-high mark for her. Meredith Tippner was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyra Parker, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Sims, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Noblesville pushed their record up to 9-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Fort Wayne Snider, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-2.
Noblesville will head out on the road to face off against Cathedral at 1:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they will be playing at home against Fort Wayne Northrop at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Fort Wayne Northrop is ranked 21st, while Fort Wayne Snider is ranked 11th).
