The Annandale Atoms will head out to  face off against the Edison Eagles  at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday. Annandale will be strutting in after a  win while Edison will be coming in after a  defeat.
Last Friday, Annandale beat Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology 44-34. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Atoms.
 Meanwhile,  it was a Battle of the Birds when  Edison challenged Hayfield on Friday. Edison took a hard  65-51 fall against Hayfield. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings  (they are ranked 92nd, while the Hawks are ranked 28th).
 Annandale now  has a winning record of 10-9. As for Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
 Annandale ended up a good deal behind  Edison in their previous matchup  back in January, losing  69-52. Can Annandale avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
