The biggest upset of the week belonged to Spring Hill, who took down 82nd ranked DeSoto, 17-13.
The Broncos moved up to 82 from 108 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Frontier. Spring Hill climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Wildcats 17-13.
DeSoto's dynamic duo of Corbin Clark and Zach Griffiths proved tough for Anthony Orrick's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Clark threw for 144 yards and Griffiths had 52 yards receiving. Jason Johnson helped DeSoto's passing attack out by catching one ball for 41 yards.
Andrew Ballock provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Eudora defeated Ottawa. He completed six passes for 60 yards and also ran for 153 yards. Ballock's favorite target this week was Nick Becker, who caught two passes for 32 yards.
Tom Byers' team's Clark and Griffiths have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Clark has thrown for 860 yards this season, while Griffiths, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 27 catches for 360 yards. The Cardinals' Garret Elston leads the league in rushing yards with 702.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Eudora takes on Baldwin. Gregg Webb's team has allowed 83 points this season, while the Bulldogs have given up 96. The Cardinals allowed 6 points last week as they topped the Cyclones.
Baldwin extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Santa Fe Trail, 41-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
