The Dade Christian Crusaders are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Wekiva Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on December 27th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Wednesday, Dade Christian suffered a rough 53-31 defeat at the hands of Gulliver Prep. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Dade Christian has scored all season.
Kenvenson Malivert put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. He scored a full 58.1% of Dade Christian's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Clorvens Celine, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Wekiva was just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 35-34 to Apopka. Wekiva has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Dade Christian bumped their record down to 6-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Wekiva, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
