Even though the East Davidson Golden Eagles scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, the Trinity Bulldogs still came out on top. Trinity enjoyed a cozy 73-56 win over East Davidson. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Trinity also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
Dominic Payne continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 32 points along with 9 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Trinity's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Hodges, who scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds.
Trinity now has a winning record of 4-3. As for East Davidson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity will take on Oak Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Oak Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday. East Davidson won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Southwestern Randolph at 7:30 p.m. on December 6th. Southwestern Randolph is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
