The St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors proved they can win big  last Wednesday (they won by 27) but  on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a  35-32  victory over Neuse Christian Academy. The  victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Thomas More Academy.
 St. Thomas More Academy's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Enora Boutrand, who  scored 14 points along with five  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Maire Kelly, who  dropped  a double-double on ten points and ten  rebounds.
 Despite the  defeat, Neuse Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up:  Zaria Washington  scored 13 points along with five  rebounds and three  steals. Washington hasn't dropped below two  steals for five straight games.  Gracyn Williams was another key contributor,  scoring seven points along with ten  rebounds.
 St. Thomas More Academy is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Neuse Christian Academy, they now  have a losing record at 7-8.
 St. Thomas More Academy will be playing at home against Thales Academy Rolesville at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Thales Academy Rolesville is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a three-game streak of away losses. As for Neuse Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Thales Academy Apex at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Thales Academy Apex will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
