With a playoff game on the line, the Banning Lewis Academy Stallions rose to the challenge on Saturday. They took down Wiggins 21-2. The win was nothing new for Banning Lewis Academy as they're now sitting on 11 straight dating back to last season.
Banning Lewis Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chase Riehle, who rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Joseph Bjegovich, who rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Banning Lewis Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Wiggins, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Banning Lewis Academy is on the road again on Saturday and play against Limon at 1:00 p.m. on November 11th. Limon is on a five-game streak of home wins, Banning Lewis Academy a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Wiggins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
