Despite the defeat, Wheeler County saw an underclassman step up: Nikita James scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 53.8% of Wheeler County's points, marking the 13th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Wheeler County struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Telfair County racked up 16 assists.
Passion Clay continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Telfair County, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Trynitee Newson was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Wheeler County's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Telfair County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.

The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Treutlen is ranked 342nd, while Telfair County is ranked 348th).
