Indian Springs had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Smith Valley Bulldogs 7-1 on Thursday. Jacob Gourley was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
In other batting news, Adam Groeblinghoff was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played.
