There's no place like home for the Hancock Central Bulldogs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They rang in the new year with a 58-50 victory over Wilkinson County on Friday. That 58-50 margin sets a new team best for Hancock Central this season.

The matchup was Ingram's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Montravious Brown, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hancock Central will challenge Twiggs County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilkinson County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Calhoun County at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th. Calhoun County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Wilkinson County likes a good challenge.
