The Cass Tech Technicians will head out to face off against the Glenn Rockets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cass Tech has three straight wins, Glenn has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Cass Tech is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 24-3 margin over Mumford on Friday. The Technicians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by nine runs or more this season.
Robert Ladner made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off one hit. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Cass Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .765. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Glenn came up short against Melvindale on Thursday, falling 17-8.
Cass Tech's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Glenn, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
Cass Tech beat Glenn 12-9 when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Do the Technicians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rockets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
