Newkirk won against Nowata last Saturday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. Newkirk was the clear victor by an 11-3 margin over Crescent. Newkirk might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

Kyson Thiel was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Newkirk is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Crescent and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
