The Onalaska Wildcats had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Coldspring-Oakhurst by a score of 61-52 on Friday. The victory was just what Onalaska needed coming off of a 72-24 defeat in their prior match.
Mary Joy Cariaga was her usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with six steals and five assists. Shaylan Linear was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.
Onalaska's win bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Coldspring-Oakhurst, they bumped their record down to 8-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Onalaska will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Shepherd at 6:00 p.m. As for Coldspring-Oakhurst, they will head out on the road to take on Tarkington at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
