Frederick and Flowers squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Frederick had to settle for second. They lost 76-55 to the Flowers Jaguars. The Cadets' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Flowers' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Brooks led the charge by shooting 60% from the field en route to 24 points along with eight assists and eight boards. The dominant performance also gave Brooks a new career-high in blocks (two). Tyrell Bowles was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds.

Frederick's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Flowers, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

Frederick does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Flowers, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-44 defeat against Whitman on the 11th.
