The Marianna Bulldogs will head out on the road to  challenge  the Rutherford Rams at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Marianna will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  matchup than the last.

 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Parker Willis, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with a  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Trent Defelix, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Rutherford didn't have quite enough to beat Walton on Tuesday and fell  3-1.
 Rutherford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Connor Ward, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Marianna pushed their record up to 14-6 with that  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Rutherford, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record  this season.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Marianna has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.7  strikeouts per game.
