The Jefferson Blue Jays had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 69-22 win over Valley Park at home. With Jefferson ahead 35-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Megan Wood continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 steals. Wood is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Halayna Loyd, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Valley Park, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson's homestand continues as they prepare to take on West County at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th. Valley Park will take on Wright City at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
