After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Highland, the Skyline Eagles were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against West by a score of 55-45. That's another feather in the cap for Skyline, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Skyline was led to victory by Karson Kaufusi and Kai Sorenson. Kaufusi scored 15 points along with six rebounds, while Sorenson scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Sorenson pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Landon Shaw, who scored ten points.
Skyline's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for West, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Skyline will face off against Olympus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Olympus' favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Skyline has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for West, they will square off against Highland at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Highland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Tuesday.
