Baseball Recap: Regents Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Regents won the last time they faced St. Andrew and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Knights blew past the Highlanders 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Blake Mott, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlyle Spicer, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Regents has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for St. Andrew's, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Regents does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Andrew's, they will face off against Episcopal School of Dallas at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
