Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Trinity's Tenth in Last 12 Outings

Trinity's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Susquehanna Township HANNA a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Shamrocks, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Aubrie Holtzapple looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Anna Sheaffer, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Flor, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

Trinity kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Trinity is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Susquehanna Township, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Coming up, Susquehanna Township will square off against Bishop McDevitt at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity will be paying especially close attention to the HANNA's contest: after the HANNA face off against the Crusaders, they'll take on Trinity again at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
