There's no place like home for Willows Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the North Shore Country Day Raiders 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Raiders on Saturday, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Willows Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-17, 25-21.

Willows Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for North Shore Country Day, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Willows Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against St. Edward on the 10th. As for North Shore Country Day, they will face off against Christian Liberty at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
