Springfield is 1-9 against Woodridge since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Springfield Spartans will be staying on the road to face off against the Woodridge Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Woodridge took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Springfield, who comes in off a win.
Last Wednesday, Springfield beat Field 59-52.
Springfield's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Brady Hahn, who scored 12 points along with two steals, and Anthony Ahern, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hahn has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Siegferth, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Woodridge's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 68-52 bruising from Norton. Woodridge has struggled against Norton recently, as their game on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Springfield's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Woodridge, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Springfield couldn't quite finish off Woodridge when the teams last played back in December of 2023 and fell 58-56. Can Springfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
