The North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays and the West Central Trojans will round out the year against one another at at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. North Judson-San Pierre will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, North Judson-San Pierre beat Culver Community 39-34. Given the Bluejays' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Cavaliers are ranked 213th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Kyleigh Lehiy, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 18 boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Shiloh DeBoard, who posted 15 points and three steals.
North Judson-San Pierre smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.
West Central has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against Washington Township on Saturday, falling 59-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Trojans have suffered since January 30th.
North Judson-San Pierre will have to keep a close watch on Madisyn DeMoss and Emily Bunger, a pair of players who had a big impact on West Central's prior game. DeMoss dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Bunger had five points along with six rebounds and five steals. DeMoss is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last 13 games she's played. Sydney Mellon was another key player, putting up six points.
North Judson-San Pierre's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for West Central, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: North Judson-San Pierre has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.1 boards per game. However, it's not like West Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
North Judson-San Pierre and West Central were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but North Judson-San Pierre came up empty-handed after a 52-51 defeat. Can North Judson-San Pierre avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
