The Midlothian Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Centennial Spartans at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Midlothian is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Spartans in Texas (the Panthers are ranked 220th, while the Spartans are ranked 529th).
After a string of three wins, Midlothian's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to Burleson.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Alex Gilmore, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Rorik Harrison, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Centennial humbled the Owls with a 66-34 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Centennial.
Midlothian's loss dropped their record down to 19-11. As for Centennial, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-18 record this season.
Midlothian strolled past the Spartans in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 61-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Midlothian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
