Rampart is 2-8 against Pine Creek since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rampart Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Pine Creek Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Rampart beat Liberty 51-42.
Myles Chavarria was a one-man wrecking crew for Rampart as he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Adeel Johnson el, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Isaiah Melecio, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Rams squad sat out for Friday's contest. With Melecio sitting this one out, Bobby Woolfolk got some extra time on the court (16 vs. his season average of 7.93).
Meanwhile, Pine Creek scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 76-65 win over Vista Ridge. Winning may never get old, but Pine Creek sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Rampart's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-13. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Pine Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Rampart came up short against Pine Creek in their previous meeting back in January, falling 61-56. Can Rampart avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
