Boone Grove is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Westville a 26-0 shutout on Monday. With that win, the Wolves brought their scoring average up to 7.1 runs per game.
Seth Pitcock made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Boone Grove is 2-1 when Pitcock allows three or fewer hits, but 2-3 otherwise. Pitcock was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Boone Grove got a massive performance out of Tristan Wilson, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Wilson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ben Truby, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Boone Grove kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Griffith hit Hebron with a five-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hawks fell 9-5 to the Panthers. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Spencer Spinks made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Pete Socci, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Boone Grove pushed their record up to 4-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Hebron, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Boone Grove has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hebron struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
