The Evansville Memorial Tigers lost against the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots back in December of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Evansville Memorial fell to Terre Haute North Vigo 58-54.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tucker Tornatta, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Tornatta scored a full 33.3% of Evansville Memorial's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Dylen Kendrick was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds.
Terre Haute North Vigo had a senior duo take command as Braden Walters scored 21 points along with six rebounds and Kam Baker scored 14 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Cam Fennell, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Evansville Memorial has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Evansville Memorial will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Evansville Memorial likes a good challenge. Terre Haute North Vigo is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Greencastle at 7:00 p.m. on December 26th. Greencastle will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 308th, while Terre Haute North Vigo is ranked 103rd).
