Softball Recap: Dorman Extends Winning Streak to Five

Dorman waltzed into their match on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Wade Hampton Generals with a sharp 12-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Dorman got a massive performance out of Maddie Bishop, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. Those three doubles gave Bishop a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emerson McLane, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

Bishop wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Dorman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for Dorman: they were averaging 5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 12.6.

Dorman's win bumped their record up to 8-2-1. As for Wade Hampton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Dorman has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Belton-Honea Path on the 28th. As for Wade Hampton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-1 victory against Eastside on the 28th.
