Meanwhile, Buckeye's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 61-26 loss at the hands of Rocky River. Buckeye has struggled against Rocky River recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Lakewood's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Buckeye, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-16.
Everything came up roses for Lakewood against Buckeye in their previous meeting on January 3rd as the team secured a 69-12 win. With Lakewood ahead 36-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
