Despite the loss, M.L. King saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Calvin Everhart Iii posted eight points along with 12 boards and six assists. Those 12 boards set a new season-high mark for Everhart Iii. Emontae Gourdine was another key player, putting up 16 points and six rebounds.
Even though they lost, M.L. King smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McIntosh). They walked away with a 70-62 win over Starr's Mill on Friday.
McIntosh's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for M.L. King, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
