The Logan Chieftains will be home for the holidays to greet the Tri-Valley Scotties at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Logan has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Tri-Valley will arrive with three straight wins.
Last Tuesday, Logan came up short against Reynoldsburg and fell 50-42. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Logan in their matchups with Reynoldsburg: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite their defeat, Logan saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Makenzie Daubenmire, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Daubenmire is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryann Landis, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Tri-Valley beat John Glenn 41-36 on Wednesday.
Logan has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Tri-Valley, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
