The Hannah-Pamplico Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Aynor Blue Jackets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Hannah-Pamplico has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Aynor will arrive with six straight wins.
Last Tuesday, Hannah-Pamplico was beaten by Lake City 74-31.
Even though Aynor has not done well against Pee Dee Academy recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Aynor came out on top against Pee Dee Academy by a score of 27-20.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Aynor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Terianna Richardson, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds. The contest was Richardson's third in a row with at least ten points. Lainey Squires was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
The losses dropped Hannah-Pamplico to 0-5 and Lake City to 2-1.
Hannah-Pamplico ended up a good deal behind Aynor when the teams last played last Tuesday, losing 38-24. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Aynor's Richardson, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds. Now that Hannah-Pamplico knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
