The Johnson Eagles lost against the Choctaw County Tigers last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Johnson fell to Choctaw County 54-48. Johnson has struggled against Choctaw County recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Tyshawn Carlisle was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds for Choctaw County. The game was Carlisle's third in a row with at least ten points. Johnny Grice Jr. was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Johnson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Choctaw County, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnson will square off against Marengo at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. As for Choctaw County, they will head out on the road to face off against Southern Choctaw at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southern Choctaw will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
