The Hagerty Huskies had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They strolled past Seabreeze with points to spare, taking the game 64-49. Given Hagerty's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Seabreeze is ranked 523rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hagerty found their leader in underclassman Asa Kohn, who scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Kyle Bailey, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Seabreeze lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being John Dunlap, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Bailey, who scored ten points.
Hagerty pushed their record up to 16-7 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Seabreeze, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.
Hagerty will head out on the road to square off against Mount Dora at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Seabreeze, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bridge to Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
