Volleyball Recap: Tri-County's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Tri-County had lost six straight headed into Tuesday's matchup, but Arayanna Foster didn't let it get to seven. The Penguins walked away with a 3-1 win over the Port Edwards Blackhawks on Tuesday with plenty of help from Foster, who had 20 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Tri-County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 26-24, 25-22.

Tri-County's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 9-16. As for Port Edwards, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Tri-County will welcome Pittsville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Port Edwards, they will face off against Northland Lutheran at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday.
