After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Murtaugh, the Hansen Huskies were happy to have found some success on Monday. They came out on top against Richfield by a score of 42-35. The score was all tied up 18-18 at the break, but Hansen was the better team in the second half.
Richfield's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malia Kent, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Clancy Patterson, who scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds.
The win got Hansen back to even at 3-3. As for Richfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
Hansen will be playing at home against Castleford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Richfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Twin Falls Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
