The Nature Coast Tech Sharks won the last time they faced the Central Bears, and things went their way on Thursday too. Nature Coast Tech claimed a resounding 64-10 win over Central at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-9.
Gabby Dross was the offensive standout of the matchup as she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 steals. Another player making a difference was Isabella Castillo O, who scored 16 points.
Central's loss came despite strong showings from Delanee Duncan and Amber Jack. Duncan scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds, while Jack scored 3 points. Duncan scored a full 60% of Central's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Nature Coast Tech and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Nature Coast Tech will head out on the road to face off against Springstead at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Classical Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
