The Floresville Tigers were the 56-45 winner over the Carrizo Springs Wildcats when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Floresville took a 54-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Tuesday.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Samuel Rodriguez, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Rodriguez hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Ryland Parker, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Floresville's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-7. As for Carrizo Springs, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.
Floresville will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pleasanton is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Carrizo Springs will take on the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Uvalde is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
